The Master of Music Therapy graduate program is currently under revision and will begin accepting applications again with the Fall 2025 admission cycle. The updated program plans to provide advanced theoretical, clinical and musical knowledge and skills for music therapists who already hold the MT-BC credential and wish to deepen their clinical practice knowledge, with an emphasis on clinical mental health and verbal processing. Students will also be able to apply credits from the MMT degree towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. This low residency program will allow students to continue working as a music therapist while completing the MMT degree.
